Opening our home to your pet gives them the feeling of being home and not confined to a boarding facility, kennel, or crate. Your baby will be taken care in our open, fun, friendly, safe house and yard. We look forward to having them in our care.

I rarely do reviews, but Uncle Pawpaw deserves one! My dog, Appa, is a very dog selective type. In her five years of life, she has only taken into liking probably only about one dog and a half to play with lol. When Roy sent me a picture of Appa sleeping with another dog, I was beyond shocked!
It was miraculous for my dog to be sitting AND relaxing next to another dog!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever Roy and the rest of the staff did, gave me confidence and hope that my Appa can have a dog sibling someday! Thank you!!!! If I can give 10 stars, I will!

I've taken my boy Apollo to Roy for about two years now. Started out looking for a few days boading for him and then continued using daycare services 1day/wk thereafter. As Apollo was just a pup when we first brought him, he was quite energetic and I was concerned that he would be an annoyance but Roy and his crew keep good watch over their "clients" to make sure all learn to get along. As a result, our boy is very socialized with other dogs and people. I also feel good taking him for a day of play and it's comforting to know that we have a trustworthy place to board our dog. Apollo literally drags me to the door and is ready to jump inside the moment it opens! My husband and I fully endorse Uncle Pawpaw's for all their services. They are genuinely canine caring professionals!

I've brought my furbaby several times since first review. Roy never disappoints. He truly is a kind and very warm human, then to add he is such a caring paw-paw to our furbabies.He responds during business hours and displays professionalism. it is a drive but so worth it bc my baby comes home re-energized before finally sleeping deeply with tongue sticking out which means he is happy. If he is happy, I am happy too.

Uncle Pawpaw's daycare is amazing! I dropped off my dog, Enoki, to daycare today and he loved it! He was so scared at first but literally 15 mins after I left, his team sent me a video of Enoki socializing with the other dogs. I received constant updates about Enoki throughout the whole day so I wasn't worried too much about him. Right when we got home, he immediately took a nap as it looks like he played all day. Thank you so much to Uncle Pawpaw and his team for taking care of Enoki. I reached out to him the night before and he was kind enough to accept my last minute request of dropping off Enoki the next day since I had to go to work in SF for a whole day. Highly recommend him and his team. Enoki will be back soon!

Not sure what I would do without Uncle Paw Paw! I have a 4lb Maltipoo that I love dearly and was always afraid to travel without him before I met Roy. I had a 2 week work trip coming up which prompted me to contact Roy. We had a meet and greet which instantly made me feel comfortable. Roy is so friendly! You can tell this isn't just a business for him although due to it being a business I appreciate the precautions he takes such as keeping the smaller dogs separate from the larger if needed. I know my little one is safe! Kairo is so happy every time we pull into the drive way he can't wait to get inside. Every video Roy sends I can tell he is having a ball which helps me feel at ease while I am away. I also appreciate how flexible he is with scheduling as a busy entrepreneur my timing changes at times and it has never been a problem. Thank you so much Roy!

Uncle Pawpaw's doggie daycare and boarding services are top notch and highly recommended! We have been sending our pup for both daycare and boarding for the past 6 months and have only had good experiences. Roy is quite knowledgeable in medical care because of his medical background and that adds to the mental peace. Very easy to schedule, reasonable price point, great staff, and good communication with quick on-demand updates! We are excited to continue our relationship with Roy and his staff! Love love love Roy and his team. In the 17 years we've had our pups, this was the first time we've tried a dog sitter who was not family. So you can imagine how anxious we were but Roy put all of that to rest. From the get-go he was super professional, asking the right questions before we could provide the information for him. :)

My little seniors are usually ecstatic to see us, but they gave us a "new phone, who dis?" Look when we picked them up 3 days later.

My 1.5 year old Aussie stays with Roy and his team weekly. Roy is flexible and make sure that all the dogs are well cared for and watched over all the time. F YOU'RE THINKING OF BRINGING YOUR PUP TO UNCLE PAWPAW, JUST DO IT!

Where do I even start? Roy is such a beautiful soul! My wife and I were stressed when we searching for the best daycare/boarding place, but Roy took all our stress and worries away. From the first interaction (via text), he showed how much he would care for our puppy and our needs/expectations. We rescheduled the meet and greet several times due to the weather, but he remained patient with us. When we finally did the meet and greet, our 4 month old puppy, at the time, instantly fell in love with him. I adore how much Roy has been so great and loving to Olive.
During the introduction/trial week, he sent us videos and photos every step of the way. Olive stays with Roy every other day while we're at work l, and she always comes home tired and happy! Save yourself the worry and stress with Roy and his team! They are amazing!

I boarded my puppy, Rocky, with Uncle Pawpaw for over 3 weeks. I brought Rocky to meet him before the trip and had him spend a day to make sure he would be ok. Roy was very nice and Rocky liked him immediately. I was worried that he would be ok for such a long time and I missed him a lot. Roy was kind enough to send me videos, pictures, and updates on Rocky that ensured me that he was having a great time and making friends with all breeds and sizes of doggies and he was with very caring humans. When I picked Rocky up he had been given a bath and he was so happy to see me. Thanks Uncle Pawpaw! Rocky will be back to see you again!

I've been taking my dog Milo since he was a little pup and let me tell you, he does NOT want to leave Roy's side and house in general! He loves being there every time I take him. I was scared taking him to a new place when he was younger but Roy made me feel like this will be his second home which it really is at this point he even guards his home like it's his. Roy is such a great person and super kind! Always sends updates and pictures of Milo whenever he can or one of the people he works with can. Milo being at Roy's helped him be social so much with other dogs and he wasn't social whatsoever when he was younger so I'm grateful for finding such a great place where I feel comfortable enough to even board him there. Mind you, my dog is a border collie(hard dog to handle sometimes) with a ton of energy and he is sleeping by the time he gets in the car or once he gets home so I know he's having so much fun there. Thank you Roy for everything you do for Milo we appreciate you!

First of all, if I could, I would give a million stars for uncle PawPaw!!!! Roy came to the rescue for our fur babies in more ways than one. I tried to see if he had any room for our baby back in February but bc it was a holiday weekend, there weren't any room but I promised I'd keep him in mind when we were in need of boarding again just bc of the outstanding n relaxing photos of the pups on here. They look so happy n for absolutely good reason- it's bc THEY ARE! Fast forward to this past weekend, Roy had space for us n I was a bit hesitant bc our first babies are rescues n are timid n shy at first meet (barking with warning signs) but they went STRAIGHT to Roy as though he's been their friend forever! It was indeed love at first sight lol...which made me feel so good in leaving them with him. He is the ultimate dog whisperer! The next morning I get a notification that one of them is urinating blood n there's clots but as time goes on, there isn't anymore clots, but fresh bleeding so we take her to the emergency vet hospital. She ended up staying overnight to be treated but our other baby was in good hands at uncle PawPaw. If Roy hadn't been so watchful, we would've missed the warning signs of bladder stones n our baby would've suffered in silence. Roy was such a sweetheart n gentle to everyone especially me being freaked out n worried! Roy is an absolute godsend n I will never forget his kindness to us. He even washed their bedding!!!! Amazing customer service as well!!!! We will be returning when we are back in the area. If you want n need anyone to take your fur baby to for sitting, daycare, grooming etc- uncle PawPaw is THE ONLY place to go!!!!!

i have NEVER brought my dog to any dog parks or daycares. simply because i do not trust other people. however i got my 4 year old rescue in 2019, before the pandemic had hit. it took him a while to acclimate to a home and acclimate to receiving love rather than abuse.
Unfortunately, he got a little too comfortable being at home. May of 2023 it hit me how unsocialized and nervous my pup was around other people and other dogs. i began bringing him to Roy/Uncle Pawpaws after a quick TEXT exchange and meeting. where i found Roy to be such a warm, calm, friendly, and inviting person. alleviating my anxiety AND my dog's anxiety. very not typical for a sagittarius, but he is one of the good ones! I informed Roy of my dog and his potential issues/quirks (he can be a little nippy with people while scared...and he's a virgo...). and WOW! my little, grumpy pants rescue mutt has absolutely thrived!! He even plays with the other dogs sometimes which blows my mind as i have NEVER seen that before!!
he doesn't bark at dogs OR people on walks anymore! he is MUCH better with people (doesn't bark nor nip anymore) and has started to even cuddle up to strangers.
I have seen a complete 180° in my pup which i never thought was possible. There is a reason Roy has 49 FIVE star reviews. i dont know of anyone in their RIGHT mind that believes he deserves less.

Uncle Pawpaw is the BEST. Almost a year ago now, our sweet girl Marmalade needed a daycare. My partner and I had just adopted her and we needed a place where our shy (not so ) little girl could go and thrive and get socialized with other dogs while we were working. Uncle Pawpaw was a godsend. First and foremost, Roy's consultation was extremely informative and eased my mind by walking me through every last detail. He explained that Marm would be introduce to each dog individually before coming into the pack. After going for just one week, she barely wanted to come home. Roy and the team at Uncle Pawpaw have been absolutely outstanding with caring for my pup. Even when I need a daycare day or last minute boarding, Uncle Pawpaw has always come through. They always send me cute pictures of my lady and give updates as needed. And a special shout out to Jenna as well, another caretaker at Uncle Pawpaw who is so sweet and loves each dog so much. Uncle Pawpaw really is the best.

Roy has been watching my two babies since they were puppies. I could not possible recommend anyone with more enthusiasm. Not only has Roy always treated my girls like family, but they look forward to staying with him. They often do not want to come home with us after a stay with Roy! For someone who does not have human children, my fur-babies are my entire life, and I certainly would not trust them with just anyone. They have always been so happy and healthy upon pickup. We even trusted Roy to take care of them while one was in a splint due to a shoulder issue. Roy took exceptional care of her during that stay, provided me with tons of updates and was so happy to provide her with the extra attention she needed. In terms of pet care, Roy is an absolute star!

Jul 3, 2021After a couple other meet and greets with my little Neela, I finally found the perfect match for her! When we met Roy and his little doggies I Knew that Roy was the perfect match for her. We left for four days and I knew that she was in great hands. Every day he sent updates on pictures of her and how she was doing along with daily walks. I felt very comfortable leaving our little dog with Roy for a few days. During a meet and greet, he explained how he would introduce her to the pack and make her feel comfortable. Drop off was a breeze. Our dog had no hesitation and was clearly comfortable with Roy. She came home happy and exhausted from all the play. Roy is a great dog sitter!
